Role Overview
We are recruiting an experienced and driven Senior Employment Coach to support delivery across the Restart programme in Hinckley. As a Senior Employment Coach, you will play a key role in driving performance across the contract, managing participant journeys from job start through to sustained outcomes. You will focus on key priority groups including in-work support, rapid response cases and disengaged participants, while also supporting wider team performance and delivery. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will support Employment Coaches, work closely with Jobcentre Plus and stakeholders, and ensure high standards of service delivery, compliance and participant engagement are maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Participant Management & Performance
- Manage participant journeys from job start through to sustained outcome achievement
- Deliver in-work support, monitor progression and provide rapid response interventions
- Manage disengaged participant caseloads, including re-engagement activity with Jobcentre Plus
- Support participants to sustain employment and achieve long-term outcomes
- Team Support & Leadership
- Conduct weekly caseload reviews with Employment Coaches to track performance
- Provide day-to-day support, guidance and problem-solving across the team
- Deliver team cover where required, including stand-in support for senior roles
- Support the Contract Lead with recruitment and onboarding of new staff
- Stakeholder & Partnership Working
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Jobcentre Plus and local stakeholders
- Conduct regular meetings with JCP, including three-way discussions to support participant engagement
- Support the creation of a welcoming and engaging centre environment to drive attendance
- Administration, Targets & Compliance
- Maintain accurate records, reports and data in line with contract requirements
- Support administrative functions, including participant expenses and resource management
- Ensure delivery aligns with contract KPIs, quality standards and compliance frameworks
- Contribute to continuous improvement and operational performance
Essential Criteria
- Experience delivering within a welfare-to-work or employability programme
- Proven experience managing participant caseloads and driving outcomes
- Strong understanding of Restart or similar DWP-funded provision
- Experience supporting or mentoring staff within a team environment
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, particularly with Jobcentre Plus
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Strong communication, influencing and relationship-building ability
- Confident using IT systems including MS Office and case management systems
- Ability to work in a target-driven and performance-focused environment
Desirable Criteria
- Experience in a Senior Employment Coach or Team Leader capacity
- Knowledge of compliance, audit and quality frameworks within employability programmes
- Qualifications in IAG, coaching or employability support
