Role Overview
We are recruiting an experienced Team Leader (IPS) to lead a high performing supported employment team across Bath, North Somerset and neighbouring localities. The role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of a high quality IPS service that supports individuals with disabilities, learning needs, neurodiverse conditions, mental health challenges and those facing disadvantage to move into sustainable work. You will oversee performance, build partnerships with employers and local agencies, support staff development, and ensure services meet IPS/SEQF fidelity standards and contractual expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Service Delivery & Compliance
- Lead the IPS service across Bath, North Somerset and surrounding areas.
- Ensure delivery meets all IPS and SEQF fidelity requirements.
- Achieve KPIs, performance targets and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate, timely and auditable data and reporting.
- Drive continuous improvement that enhances participant outcomes.
- Build strong relationships with local health, VCSE and community partners.
- Manage, support and coach Employment Specialists to deliver effective IPS support.
- Conduct regular reviews, observations and performance management.
- Support staff through Level 3 Supported Employment qualifications.
- Cultivate a professional, supportive and performance focused team culture.
- Represent the service in strategic and partnership meetings.
- Strengthen local referral pathways through multi agency collaboration.
- Develop employer partnerships and negotiate meaningful employment opportunities.
- Promote inclusive recruitment and in work support for employers.
- Champion safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, fair work and data requirements.
- Monitor service quality through structured audit and feedback processes.
Essential Criteria
- Operational experience managing performance-led services.
- Experience supervising teams and managing performance frameworks.
- Experience delivering services aligned with IPS/SEQF standards.
- Experience supporting individuals with disabilities, mental health challenges or complex needs.
- Strong data, planning and organisational skills.
- Employer engagement experience.
- Strong partnership building and stakeholder engagement skills.
- GCSE English & Maths (Grade C/4 or equivalent).
- Strong IT literacy and use of digital systems.
- Ability to travel across Bath, North Somerset and surrounding areas.
Desirable Criteria
- Supported Employment or IPS qualification (or willingness to complete).
- Qualification in employability, psychology, health or social care.
- Understanding of welfare benefits and employment legislation.
