Trigon Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a leading environmental services organisation for an experienced Multi-Skilled Industrial Operative to join their Doncaster depot. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established and growing business that delivers specialist industrial cleaning, environmental protection, hazardous waste management and emergency response services across the UK.
Working within a highly skilled team, you will be involved in a variety of planned maintenance projects and emergency response operations, with access to specialist training, overtime opportunities and genuine career progression.
About the Role:
As a Multi-Skilled Industrial Operative, you will carry out a broad range of industrial and environmental services while ensuring the highest standards of health, safety and customer service.
Key responsibilities include:
- Industrial cleaning and decontamination works
- High Pressure (HP) and Ultra High Pressure (UHP) water jetting
- Confined Space Entry, Rescue and Management
- Hazardous waste handling and chemical management
- Surface preparation and abrasive blasting
- Mechanical installations, dismantling and equipment removal
- Environmental incident and pollution response
- Supporting remediation, civils and environmental protection projects
- Completing digital job reports, RAMS and site documentation
- Liaising professionally with clients and site representatives
- Operating company vehicles (including HGV where appropriately licensed)
- Maintaining equipment and ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently
- Responding to emergency call-outs and working away from home when required
About You:
We are looking for a reliable, safety-conscious individual with experience within industrial services or a similar heavy industrial environment who enjoys varied work and is happy to travel when required.
Essential:
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Previous industrial cleaning experience
- High Pressure Water Jetting experience
- Confined Space Entry experience
- Pollution control or spill response experience
- Experience handling hazardous materials and chemicals
- Ability to produce and work from Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)
- IT literate with the ability to complete digital reports
- Flexible approach to working hours
- Willingness to work away from home when required
Desirable:
- HGV Class 1 Licence
- ADR qualification
- CCNSG Safety Passport
- IOSH certification
- SMSTS or SSSTS
- OPITO Abrasive Blasting qualification
- Plant operating experience
- Experience working within refineries, tank farms, terminals or other heavy industrial environments
