About the Role
Trigon Recruitment are looking for a passionate and motivated Training and Development Coach to support apprentices across a range of apprenticeship programmes. You will inspire, mentor, and guide learners to successfully achieve their occupational standards and progress through gateway and end-point assessment in a timely manner.
You will work with apprentices completing qualifications including:
- Customer Service Specialist
- Customer Service Practitioner
- HR Support
- Operations or Departmental Manager
- Team Leader or Supervisor
- Business Administrator
- Recruitment
- Coaching
- Learning & Development
- Marketing
There may also be opportunities to support delivery of higher-level apprenticeships, subject to business demand.
Key Responsibilities
Apprentice Support & Delivery
- Onboard apprentices and complete all mandatory documentation and quality processes
- Deliver engaging, high-quality learning sessions and coaching support
- Support apprentices to submit timely, high-quality work for assessment
- Provide constructive developmental feedback and action planning
- Embed English, maths, British Values, safeguarding, and Prevent into delivery
- Prepare apprentices for gateway and End-Point Assessment (EPA)
Progress Monitoring & Reviews
- Manage and monitor a caseload of apprentices
- Set SMART targets and individual learning plans
- Conduct regular progress reviews with apprentices and employers
- Identify skills gaps and support workplace development opportunities
- Record learner progress accurately and maintain compliance documentation
- Identify learners at risk and implement intervention strategies
Employer Engagement
- Build and maintain positive relationships with employers
- Act as a key contact for both apprentices and employers
- Ensure employers understand programme requirements and commitments
- Support employers in embedding learning into the workplace
Quality & Performance
- Monitor learner progress against KPIs and quality standards
- Use data to identify trends and improve learner outcomes
- Contribute to continuous improvement across apprenticeship programmes
- Share best practice with colleagues across the Work Based Learning team
- Maintain up-to-date industry knowledge and awareness of Ofsted requirements
Additional Duties
- Attend team meetings, training, and standardisation sessions
- Support business development activities where required
- Promote organisational values and act as an ambassador for the organisation
- Adhere to all company policies including safeguarding, health & safety, equality, GDPR, and Prevent
Essential Requirements
Qualifications
- GCSE Grade C/4 or above in English and Maths (or equivalent)
- Teaching qualification at Level 3 or above (AET/PTLLS or equivalent)
- Full UK Driving Licence and access to own vehicle
Experience & Knowledge
- Experience delivering engaging training and learning workshops
- Experience supporting Functional Skills delivery up to Level 2
- Experience creating learning resources and curriculum materials
- Knowledge of Ofsted requirements and apprenticeship compliance
- Experience using e-learning platforms such as OneFile
Skills & Attributes
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Ability to manage workloads and priorities effectively
- Confident using Microsoft Office and Teams
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a remote team
- Passionate about learner success and development
Desirable
- Assessor (CAVA) and/or IQA qualifications
- Experience supporting apprenticeship sales or employer engagement activity
