About Our Client
Our client is an established organisation delivering government-funded employability programmes that help people overcome barriers to work and secure sustainable employment. They are now looking for an experienced and driven Programme Delivery Manager/Business Manager to lead the operational delivery of their Restart contract in Aylesbury. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior manager with welfare-to-work or employability experience who enjoys leading high-performing teams and delivering outstanding contract performance.
The Role
As Programme Delivery Manager/Business Manager, you'll take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of the Restart contract, ensuring contractual KPIs, compliance standards and financial targets are consistently achieved. Working closely with senior leadership and key external partners, you'll inspire and develop your team while driving continuous improvement across the contract.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the operational delivery of the Restart Programme.
- Manage, coach and develop a high-performing delivery team.
- Ensure contractual KPIs, quality measures and financial targets are achieved.
- Monitor performance through management information, forecasting and performance dashboards.
- Develop and implement improvement plans where required.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with commissioners, delivery partners, employers and local stakeholders.
- Ensure all compliance, safeguarding and quality requirements are met.
- Produce accurate management information and contract reports.
- Support business growth by identifying new opportunities and promoting collaborative working.
- Conduct regular audits, observations, performance reviews and coaching sessions.
- Lead on performance recovery planning where necessary.
- Promote an exceptional customer experience for participants throughout their journey.
About You
We're looking for someone who can demonstrate:
Essential
- Management qualification or equivalent leadership experience.
- At least 5 years' senior management experience leading target-driven operational teams.
- Proven experience managing government-funded employability or welfare-to-work contracts.
- Strong knowledge of contract performance management and KPI delivery.
- Excellent leadership, coaching and people management skills.
- Experience managing compliance, quality assurance and performance improvement.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build lasting partnerships.
- Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
Desirable
- Previous experience delivering or managing the Restart Programme.
