We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Dental Nurse to join our team and support our dental professionals in delivering high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will be GDC-registered (or working towards registration), have excellent communication skills, and demonstrate a calm, caring, and professional approach with patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the dentist or hygienist during a wide range of dental procedures.
  • Prepare and maintain the dental surgery, including sterilising instruments and ensuring infection control protocols are followed.
  • Ensure patient comfort and wellbeing before, during, and after treatment.
  • Record and update patient notes accurately on dental software systems.
  • Handle instruments, materials, and equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Provide chairside support for routine, emergency, cosmetic, and complex dental procedures.
  • Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering supplies.
  • Adhere to all CQC standards and clinical governance guidelines.
  • Support reception duties where required, including booking appointments and managing patient records.
  • Undertake CPD and training to stay up to date with developments in dental nursing and health & safety standards.

Requirements:

  • National Diploma in Dental Nursing or equivalent.
  • Registration with the General Dental Council (GDC).
  • Knowledge of cross infection control and decontamination procedures.
