OUR CLIENT is seeking a Service Charge Accounts Manager to join their Property Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role within a growing and dynamic organisation managing residential homes across the UK. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you'll lead a team of client accountants, ensuring the delivery of high-quality property accounting and service charge services while driving continuous improvement, operational excellence, and exceptional client service.
THE ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Overseeing service charge accounting, budgeting and year-end processes.
- Leading, coaching and developing a team of c4/5 Client Accountants.
- Ensuring accurate and timely client financial reporting.
- Acting as a key finance contact for clients and internal stakeholders.
- Ensuring client accounts are prepared in line with client deadlines to meet KPIs, as well as statutory deadlines.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant housing regulations, financial governance standards, and internal controls.
- Driving process improvements and promoting best practice across the team.
THE PERSON and SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
- Previous experience of managing a small team.
- End-to-end service charge accounting experience.
- Experience within housing.
