Property Finance Assistant Part-time.

OUR CLIENT area privately owned, Southwest London based, property management business are overseeing a diverse portfolio of commercial real estate investments and developments across London.

The business is seeking a highly organised and experienced Property Finance Assistant to support the Financial Controller across finance and office operations on a Part-Time basis (24 hours a week over 3-4 days).

THE ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES for the Property Finance Assistant will include:

  • Raising and issuing rent and service charge demands.
  • Chasing outstanding arrears including rents and service charges.
  • Processing supplier invoices, payments, expenses and utility recharges.
  • Performing bank reconciliations.
  • Maintaining accurate sales, purchase and property accounting records using Propman.
  • Supporting month/quarter-end processes, including journals, accruals and prepayments.
  • Supporting annual service charge budgets and year-end reconciliations.
  • Assisting with VAT returns, statutory filings and charity trust administration.
  • Responding to tenant, supplier, landlord and external stakeholder queries.
  • Managing general office administration, facilities, supplies and filing systems.

THE PERSON and SKILL REQUIREMENTS for the Property Accounts Assistant:

  • Previous experience in an accounting, finance role within a property firm.
  • Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, bookkeeping and bank reconciliations.
  • Good attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • Happy to be 'hands on' and get involved in office administrative tasks.
