Trident Search have recently partnered with a cyber security start up who are growing their European engineering hub. This position will be based in the United Kingdom and does NOT offer visa sponsorship. They are looking for a Lead Software Engineer to join their ever growing team, where involved in designing, developing, and maintaining key features of their platform.

  • Must-Have Skills & Experience
  • 5+ years of backend development experience, with strong expertise in Python and relevant backend frameworks.
  • Deep understanding of microservices architecture and best practices.
  • Proven experience leading technical strategy and decision-making within a development team.
  • Hands-on experience with: Hasura (GraphQL engine), Digital Ocean or Azure (cloud infrastructure).
  • Strong knowledge of SQL database design, optimization, and management.
  • Expertise in security best practices for web applications.
  • Experience mentoring and guiding development teams.
  • Nice-to-Have Skills
    • Experience in cybersecurity or IT security application development.
    • Prior experience leading backend development in a fast-growing startup.
    • Familiarity with DevSecOps principles and compliance frameworks.
    • Understanding of NEXT.js (or other React-based frameworks).
    • Hands-on experience with: Zitadel (identity management), Strapi (CMS).
