Trident Search are delighted to announce the launch of our CISO advisory board. We are seeking experienced practitioners and Chief Information Security Officers to join us on the journey of transforming the cyber security industry. In this voluntary role, you will provide valuable guidance and strategic expertise to help smaller businesses and charitable organizations bolster their cybersecurity frameworks and implement best practices. As a member of the advisory board, you will work alongside other seasoned security professionals to help bridge the gap in security capabilities, offering advice that is tailored to organizations with limited resources. Offer expert advice on developing and implementing cybersecurity strategies for small businesses and charities with varying levels of security maturity. Assist in assessing and mitigating cybersecurity risks to ensure that small and nonprofit organizations can continue their operations safely and securely. Advise on the adoption of appropriate cybersecurity frameworks (such as NIST, CIS Controls, or ISO 27001) and assist in tailoring them for smaller organizations. Provide recommendations on how organizations should prepare for and respond to cybersecurity incidents, breaches, and attacks. Help small businesses and charities understand and navigate key cybersecurity regulations and industry standards relevant to their sector. Share your knowledge and expertise through mentorship and training initiatives for in-house security teams, or internal stakeholders, ensuring that everyone is aligned on best practices. Engage with other advisory board members, thought leaders, and relevant stakeholders to help elevate the security posture of the businesses you advise. Expertise in developing and managing cybersecurity strategies, frameworks, risk management, incident response, and compliance across various industries. A keen understanding of the unique challenges faced by smaller businesses and charitable organizations, especially those with limited budgets and resources for cybersecurity. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, volunteer-driven advisory setting, contributing your insights and expertise without direct compensation. Opportunity to make a meaningful difference by helping smaller businesses and nonprofits secure their operations, protecting their data, and fostering growth. Participate in ad-hoc advisory board meetings, consultations, and projects based on your availability and interest. No financial compensation is offered, but the value lies in the opportunity to give back, shape the future of cybersecurity in small enterprises, and contribute to the social good.
