Trident Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced Production Engineer to join a leading precision engineering manufacturer based in Salfords. This is an exciting opportunity for an engineer with a strong background in CNC programming, CAD/CAM, and production engineering to play a key role in supporting manufacturing processes, improving efficiency, and introducing new components into production.
The Role
- Programming, setting and operating STAR Sliding Head lathes and/or Index Mill Turn machines
- Offline CAD/CAM programming for new and existing components
- Supporting new product introduction (NPI) and process development
- Developing and improving machining methods to maximise efficiency and reduce cycle times
- Creating and maintaining tooling, setup and process documentation
- Providing technical support to the shop floor and assisting with production issues
- Working closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to drive continuous improvement
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience as a Production Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer or Senior CNC Programmer
- Strong experience programming STAR Sliding Head lathes and/or Index Mill Turn machines
- Experience using CAD/CAM software for offline programming
- Excellent understanding of precision engineering and machining processes
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- A proactive approach
