Trident Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced Manual Turner to join a leading precision engineering company based in Rugby. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled machinist with experience operating Colchester manual lathes, XYZ Proturn lathes, or a toolmaking background to secure a well-paid weekend or permanent night shift position.
The Role
- Operating Colchester manual lathes and XYZ Proturn lathes
- Manufacturing one-off and small batch precision components
- Working from detailed engineering drawings to tight tolerances
- Carrying out manual turning operations including facing, boring, threading and finishing
- Inspecting finished components to ensure they meet quality standards
- Working independently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience as a Manual Turner
- Experience using Colchester manual lathes and/or XYZ Proturn lathes
- A Toolmaker with strong manual machining experience will also be considered
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive attitude
