An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Refrigeration Engineer with a focus on installation work across supermarket and retail environments. This role involves travel across the Midlands and East of England, installing and commissioning a wide range of refrigeration systems. You'll be working on high-profile projects and servicing trusted brands, ensuring installations meet high standards for performance, energy efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out the installation of commercial refrigeration systems across retail and supermarket sites.
- Work from technical drawings and schematics to install pipework, units, and controls.
- Collaborate with project managers and site teams to deliver installations on time and within spec.
- Occasionally support with refrigeration servicing tasks.
- Ensure all work is carried out in line with health & safety and F-Gas regulations.
- Participate in a standby rota (1 in 7) β with paid standby charge and callout rates.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in commercial or supermarket refrigeration installations.
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning or equivalent.
- F-Gas Category 1 certification (essential).
- Full UK driving licence.
- Comfortable working nights when required.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
