The Role
An established engineering business is looking to appoint a Field Service Engineer to support a busy depot in Central belt of Scotland. This is a predominantly field-based role, with some depot-based work required depending on business needs. The successful candidate will support the Depot Foreman with day-to-day engineering requirements, working on generator equipment across customer sites and in the depot. This is a great opportunity for an engineer with experience in generators, plant hire, mechanical maintenance or electrical fault finding to join a busy, hands-on service team.
Responsibilities
- Carry out servicing and maintenance work on generators both on-site and in the depot
- Complete mechanical and electrical repairs
- Fault find across control panels and AC/DC electrical systems
- Work on genset synchronisation
- Support out-of-hours callout rota (1:5) including bank holidays when required (OT Pay)
- Liaise directly with customers in a professional manner
- Complete daily defect reports for company vehicle roadworthiness
- Complete paperwork linked to equipment maintenance, including service sheets and PDI sheets
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines at all times
