An established engineering business is looking to appoint a Field Service Engineer to support a busy depot across the South East of England. This is a predominantly field-based role, with some depot-based work required depending on business needs. The successful candidate will support the Depot Foreman with day-to-day engineering requirements, working on generator equipment both at customer sites and within the depot. This is a great opportunity for an engineer with experience in generators, plant hire, mechanical maintenance, electrical fault finding, temporary power, standby power or critical power generation.
The Role
You will be responsible for carrying out service, maintenance, repairs and fault finding on generator equipment across customer sites and within the depot. The role will involve both mechanical and electrical work, including control panels, AC/DC systems and genset synchronisation. You will also support the out-of-hours callout rota, liaise directly with customers and complete relevant service documentation.
