Trident Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced Manual Machinist to join a well-established precision engineering company based in Glasgow. The Role
- Operating manual lathes and/or milling machines
- Manufacturing one-off and small batch precision components
- Working from detailed engineering drawings to tight tolerances
- Carrying out manual machining operations including turning, milling, drilling and boring
- Inspecting finished components to ensure they meet quality standards
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Working independently while maintaining high standards of workmanship
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience as a Manual Turner, Manual Miller, or Manual Machinist
- Strong manual machining skills within a precision engineering environment
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience working to tight tolerances
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to quality
