Location: Wigan & Surrounding Areas Contract Type: Permanent Hours: 40 hours per week Salary: £43,000 – £50,000 per year We are currently seeking an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join a busy and growing mechanical services team operating across the North West. This is a full-time, permanent position focused exclusively on commercial and retail sites — no domestic work. Key Responsibilities: * Attend reactive breakdowns and diagnose faults on commercial gas appliances and associated plant * Complete reactive repairs and follow-up works * Carry out planned servicing of gas appliances and systems * Complete all gas safety documentation accurately and in a timely manner What We’re Looking For: * Minimum 5 years’ experience in commercial gas maintenance and breakdowns * Valid Commercial ACS certification (essential) * Domestic ACS, OFTEC, or oil experience (advantageous but not essential) * Full UK driving licence (essential) * Additional certifications such as IPAF, PASMA, CSCS are desirable * Strong fault-finding skills and ability to work independently What’s on Offer: * £43,000 – £50,000 base salary * Company vehicle with fuel card (private use available) * 28 days holiday (including bank holidays) * Regular overtime and call-out bonuses * Company pension * Flexitime available * Company-funded training and development (e.g. F-Gas, additional gas tickets) * Supplied uniform, PPE, testing equipment, and PDA * Supportive team environment and career progression opportunities Ideal for engineers with commercial gas experience looking to step into a well-supported, long-term role in a thriving sector
