Trident Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced Production Engineer to join a leading precision engineering manufacturer based in Salfods.

The Role

  • Programming, setting and operating STAR Sliding Head lathes and/or Index Mill Turn machines
  • Offline CAD/CAM programming for new and existing components
  • Supporting new product introduction (NPI) and process development
  • Developing and improving machining methods to maximise efficiency and reduce cycle times
  • Creating and maintaining tooling, setup and process documentation
  • Providing technical support to the shop floor and assisting with production issues
  • Working closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to drive continuous improvement
  • The Ideal Candidate
  • Previous experience as a Production Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer or Senior CNC Programmer
  • Strong experience programming STAR Sliding Head lathes and/or Index Mill Turn machines
  • Experience using CAD/CAM software for offline programming
  • Excellent understanding of precision engineering and machining processes
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • A proactive approach with strong problem-solving skills
