Senior Management Accountant Real Estate-City of London

OUR CLIENT are a rapidly growing UK wide property management company who work with some of UK’s top developers.

They are looking for a Senior Management Accountant to work on a project for the CFO.

THE ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SENIOR MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT

  • Preparing and own the annual budgeting process, from first draft through to final sign-off.
  • Building detailed, bottom-up budgets based on real operational activity, including headcount, volumes, service levels and contract changes.
  • Modelling income, direct costs, overheads and margin, taking account of phasing, seasonality and contractual changes.
  • Challenging assumptions where they appear optimistic, inconsistent or unsupported, ensuring budgets are realistic and deliverable.
  • Supporting accurate cash and margin forecasting, ensuring budgets and phasing profiles feed into wider financial forecasts.
  • Helping improve budgeting processes, templates, models and assumption libraries to drive consistency and efficiency.

THE PERSON REQUIREMENTS FOR THE SENIOR MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT

  • Ideally be ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification with strong post-qualified experience
  • Proven experience owning budgets and forecasts, ideally across a multi-contract, multi-site or service-delivery environment, in Real Estate
  • Excellent financial modelling and Excel skills
  • Strong commercial and analytical thinking
  • Confidence partnering with non-finance stakeholders and constructively challenging assumptions
  • Hybrid working (3 days office).
