Overview
Residential Client Accountant. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Client Accountant to join a dynamic housing and property management team in London. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys taking ownership of financial reporting, supporting clients, and working collaboratively across teams.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit service charge year-end accounts, including accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations, liaising with accountants and estate managers.
- Manage the full budget demand process and ensure demands are issued on time.
- Deliver accurate cyclical client reports and provide information to support VAT submissions.
- Review and correct monthly expenditure with Property Managers.
- Support rent increase processes across AST, Affordable Rent, and Shared Ownership.
- Circulate year-end accounts to leaseholders and issue Section 20b notices where required.
- Reconcile all client bank accounts promptly, resolving discrepancies.
Requirements
- Ideally working towards an accounting qualification.
- Minimum 2 years\’ experience in a similar property management role.
- Strong numerical and reporting skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Effective communicator and team player with a customer-first approach.
- Competent in Excel and in using a property management system.
