Management Accountant REAL ESTATE. OUR CLIENT, a growing and very active property investment and development are looking to add to their UK accounts Team. They are looking for an experienced Management Accountant with property experience work closely with the Senior Financial Controller.
THE ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT:
- Overseeing the bookkeeping and managing the outsourced accountants.
- Preparing monthly management accounts, including detailed commentary and analysis.
- Assisting with the preparation of the statutory financial statements (IFRS and FRS).
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns.
- Being responsible for the treasury operations including the intercompany balances, cash flows and so forth.
- Liaising with the external auditors and managing the audit process.
- Providing financial information for sourcing debt.
- Producing reports for each SPV adhering to income cover and LTV in line with agreements.
THE PERSON REQUIREMENTS OF THE MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT:
- At least 2 years’ experience of working as a Management Accountant within the real estate sector or practice working with property clients.
- Must be ACCA or CIMA qualified.
- Proven technical accounting expertise, with strong knowledge of IFRS/FRS.
- Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively across functions and at senior levels.
