Finance Business Partner

OUR CLIENT is a leading provider of residential houses and property management services across all tenures, supporting central and local government, development and institutional investment clients.

Following significant growth and transformation, including major new contracts and partnerships, they are now seeking a Senior Finance Business Partner to support the continued development and financial performance of the division on a temporary to permanent basis. The person

MUST be available to start in the next 7 days.

  • THE ROLE REQUIREMENTS for the Senior Finance Business Partner will include:
  • Business partnering with Divisional Operations Directors and Profit Centre Leads to optimise financial and operational performance.
  • Overseeing the month–end finance process, ensuring accruals, prepayments, deferred income, revenue invoices, adjustments and balance sheet reconciliations are completed accurately and on time.
  • Developing a strong understanding of contracts and divisional P&Ls to provide meaningful financial insight and challenge.
  • Preparing accurate and timely reporting packs, analysing key P&L components including revenue, subcontractor costs, internal recharges and operating costs.
  • Presenting financial results, analysis and performance insights to senior leadership and Homes Boards.
  • Supporting the preparation of annual budgets and regular forecasts in line with divisional and wider corporate objectives.
  • Monitoring financial performance, investigating variances and identifying opportunities to improve profitability and minimise risk.
  • Leading, coaching and developing a team of Management Accountants, supporting best practice and career development.

THE PERSON and SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Part–qualified, qualified accountant or qualified by experience.
  • Experience of managing, coaching and developing finance professionals.
  • Strong experience in management accounting, financial reporting and analysis.
  • Proven experience of business partnering with senior operational and non–finance stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of P&L, balance sheet and cash flow, with the ability to identify opportunities and manage financial risk.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather, interpret and present complex financial information clearly.
