OUR CLIENT is an ambitious, well-capitalised, pan-European specialist private equity real estate investment company. They have a proven track record of delivery within the real estate sector and focusses on investment and asset management of commercial real estate across Europe. They seek to appoint a newly qualified accountant (ACCA /ACA) to join their notable Finance and Operations team. This is a very varied role working on commercial finance and fund accounting workstreams on their Flagship Funds; which require an entrepreneurial, hard-working and growth mindset.
THE ROLE REQUIREMENTS for the Analyst Fund Accounting position:
- Overseeing timely, accurate management accounts for SPVs and fund consolidation in local GAAP and US GAAP reporting.
- Reviewing balance sheet reconciliations, income statements and cashflow statements accordingly for SPVs.
- Managing the business cashflow and optimising working capital requirements for each SPV.
- Liaising with external auditors to prepare statutory accounts.
- Managing relationships with account holding banks and reporting on covenants.
- Managing budgets and forecasting.
- Debt covenant preparation.
- Implementing drawdowns / capital statements.
- Investor relations with limited partners on accounting and capital drawdowns.
- Assisting with portfolio management / returns analysis.
- Monitoring asset performance vs. underwriting.
- Co-ordinating and liaising with external company directors to manage the administration of group entities.
- Implementing, reviewing and improving financial processes and systems.
- Liaising with and preparing tax reporting (VAT, corporate) and liaising with tax consultants to structure vehicles and implement guidance.
- Paying bills and organising accounts payables and receivables.
THE PERSON and SKILL REQUIREMENTS for the Analyst Fund Accounting position:
- Newly qualified ACA/ACCA qualification (or equivalent).
- 3-4 years accounting exp gained within the Real Estate or Private Equity Real Estate (PERE) sector client side or at an Administrator.
- Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint, with hands-on experience using property systems (eg Yardi, MRI etc).
- Fluency in French, German, Dutch, or Italian would be an additional advantage.
- Highly motivated and resilient, with a proven ability to thrive in fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and collaborative environment.
