We are looking for compassionate, reliable, and motivated Casual Support Workers to join our Health & Wellbeing Accommodation Service across Birmingham.
This is an opportunity to make a real difference to individuals facing multiple and complex challenges, supporting them to build stability, improve their wellbeing, and move towards greater independence.
About the Service
Our accommodation-based service supports adults aged 25+ who may have experienced:
Homelessness and housing instability
Substance use and recovery challenges
Mental health difficulties
Involvement with the criminal justice system
Exclusion from, or difficulty engaging with, mainstream services
Using a person-centred, strengths-based, and trauma-informed approach, we work alongside residents to help them access the support, opportunities, and resources they need to thrive.
What you'll be doing
Building positive and professional relationships with residents
Providing practical and emotional support tailored to individual needs
Supporting residents to access health, housing, employment, training, and community services
Promoting independence, resilience, and wellbeing
Working in partnership with external agencies to ensure coordinated support
Maintaining accurate records and contributing to safeguarding processes
Helping to create a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment
Who we're looking for?
Have an understanding of the challenges faced by adults with multiple and complex needs, whether through professional or lived experience
Are empathetic, approachable, and non-judgemental
Have a positive attitude and a genuine desire to help others
Understand the importance of safeguarding and professional boundaries
Can work effectively as part of a team
