We are seeking an experienced and motivated Compliance Manager to lead the operational delivery of our statutory compliance programmes, ensuring we continue to meet our legal obligations, regulatory requirements and high service standards across our property portfolio.
Reporting to the Senior Safety & Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for the operational delivery and performance management of statutory compliance programmes across the Group. You will ensure compliance activities are effectively planned, coordinated and delivered in line with legislative requirements, internal policies and regulatory expectations. Working closely with contractors, service providers and internal stakeholders, you will play a key role in providing assurance that our homes remain safe and compliant.
What you'll be doing:
- Managing the day to day delivery of statutory compliance programmes across all Group properties.
- Coordinating servicing, inspections, certification programmes and remedial works across compliance disciplines.
- Ensuring compliance activities meet legislative, regulatory and organisational requirements.
- Leading contractor and service provider performance management, ensuring KPI and contractual targets are achieved.
- Monitoring compliance data, records and certification to ensure accuracy, completeness and audit readiness.
- Identifying and mitigating compliance risks, failures and areas of concern.
- Supporting Building Safety arrangements and compliance assurance frameworks.
- Producing performance reports and compliance information for internal stakeholders.
- Managing customer enquiries, complaints and escalation matters relating to compliance activities.
- Driving continuous improvement, value for money and service excellence across all compliance workstreams.
Who we're looking for:
- Experience managing statutory compliance programmes within social housing or a regulated environment.
- Strong knowledge of landlord compliance areas including gas, electrical, fire safety, asbestos, water hygiene and lifts.
- Experience managing contractors and monitoring performance against KPIs and contractual obligations.
- Knowledge of Building Safety legislation, Health & Safety requirements and regulatory expectations.
- Experience working with compliance systems, certification records and performance reporting.
- Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- The ability to manage operational risk and drive corrective action where required.
- A commitment to customer service, continuous improvement and high standards.
- Qualification in compliance, building safety, housing or a related discipline.
- NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent Health & Safety qualification.
- Membership of a relevant professional body.
