Registered Nurse – Surgical Ward
About the Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Registered Nurse to join a leading private hospital. This role is primarily based within surgical wards, caring for patients before and after a variety of surgical procedures.
The successful Registered Nurse will have a strong background working within surgical wards and experience supporting orthopaedic patients. This is an excellent opportunity for a Registered Nurse seeking a rewarding role within a modern private healthcare environment.
Essential Requirements
- Current NMC registration as a Registered Nurse
- Minimum 3 years' UK nursing experience
- Previous experience working within surgical wards
- Orthopaedic ward experience is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of post-operative patient care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Duties and Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care across surgical wards
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care
- Support patients throughout their surgical journey
- Monitor and manage post-operative recovery
- Administer medications and treatments in line with hospital policies
- Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation
- Work collaboratively with consultants and wider ward teams
- Ensure excellent standards of patient safety and infection prevention
About You
We are looking for a Registered Nurse who is confident working within busy surgical wards and has experience caring for orthopaedic patients. The ideal Registered Nurse will be patient-focused, professional and committed to delivering exceptional standards of care.
You will have experience working on wards within a hospital setting and be comfortable managing a varied caseload of surgical patients. Previous experience in private healthcare would be beneficial but is not essential.
