Support Worker / Care Assistant – Day Opportunities & Community Access

Location: Knowle, Bristol (BS4) Driving License: Full UK driving license with confidence driving service vehicles (Essential).

  • Pay Rate: £14.43 per hour
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday (Typically 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM or 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM)

Key Responsibilities

  • Accompanying and supporting individuals with learning disabilities in a day service setting and out in the community.
  • Safely collecting, transporting, and driving service users to activities, appointments, and events using service vehicles.
  • Promoting independence, choice, and active community inclusion.
  • Assisting with personal care, medication administration, and safe moving & handling where required.
  • Building strong, positive relationships with service users to help them have meaningful and enjoyable days.
  • Working independently and adapting to dynamic, daily routine changes.

Essential Requirements

  • Experience: Background in supporting people with learning disabilities.
  • Core Skills: Hands-on experience with personal care, medication administration, and moving & handling procedures.
