About the role

To prepare and cook food for the customers within the service, including considerations of specific dietary requirements and cultural considerations.

  • What you’ll be doing
  • Proactively approach the promotion of traditional values, demonstrating pride in the work and service delivery.
  • Ensure the health, wellbeing and safety of vulnerable adults, young people and children in line with Safeguarding regulations.
  • Attend all training courses and deliver on the outcomes.
  • Any other duties as required by the role.
  • Regularly monitor stock and equipment to ensure satisfactory levels are maintained.
  • Ensure that the kitchen, kitchen equipment and dining room are clear, clean and tidy before, during and after service in order to meet the Food Standards Agency requirements.
  • Communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Apply a proactive approach in the promotion of traditional values, demonstrating pride in the work and service delivery.

• Ensure that the following are always adhered to

  • Food and Kitchen hygiene
  • Health and Safety legislation and an understanding of COSHH (Control of substances hazardous to health)
