We are looking for compassionate, reliable, and motivated Casual Support Workers to join our Health & Wellbeing Accommodation Service across Birmingham.
This is an opportunity to make a real difference to individuals facing multiple and complex challenges, supporting them to build stability, improve their wellbeing, and move towards greater independence.
About the Service
Our accommodation-based service supports adults aged 25+ who may have experienced:
- Homelessness and housing instability
- Substance use and recovery challenges
- Mental health difficulties
- Involvement with the criminal justice system
- Exclusion from, or difficulty engaging with, mainstream services
Using a person-centred, strengths-based, and trauma-informed approach, we work alongside residents to help them access the support, opportunities, and resources they need to thrive.
What youβll be doing
- Building positive and professional relationships with residents
- Providing practical and emotional support tailored to individual needs
- Supporting residents to access health, housing, employment, training, and community services
- Promoting independence, resilience, and wellbeing
- Working in partnership with external agencies to ensure coordinated support
- Maintaining accurate records and contributing to safeguarding processes
- Helping to create a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment
Who weβre looking for?
- Have an understanding of the challenges faced by adults with multiple and complex needs, whether through professional or lived experience
- Are empathetic, approachable, and non-judgemental
- Have a positive attitude and a genuine desire to help others
- Understand the importance of safeguarding and professional boundaries
- Can work effectively as part of a team
- Have knowledge of, or an interest in, Psychologically Informed Environments (PIE) and Trauma-Informed Practice
- Are flexible and willing to work across our Birmingham-based services
