Who We Are

We provide high quality care and support to older people; people with physical and learning disabilities; people with mental health needs; dementia; carers and clients' families. This extends to respite care for families and carers. We operate services across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole, ranging from Residential Homes, Day Services, Supported Living sites and Reablement Home Care.

The Role

We have an excellent opportunity to join our dedicated and supportive team as a Residential Support Worker. Wallfield is a residential home situated in Southbourne which is around 4 miles away from Bournemouth town centre. We offer accommodation to 14 clients including 12 permanent placements and 2 respite placements. The home supports individuals with Learning Disabilities. We work in a person-centred way providing support for people living with complex care needs.

Your Main Responsibilities

  • Providing care and support that promotes client choice and independence.
  • Undertaking personal care duties as required including manual handling.
  • Working to required standards to comply with CQC guidelines.
  • Maintaining dignity, privacy and respect for our clients.
  • The ability to work flexibly across the week, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

You Should Have

  • NVQ/QCF Level 2 Certificate or be prepared to work towards a qualification.
  • Knowledge and awareness of Care Act 2014 and Safeguarding legislation.
  • A working knowledge of CQC standards and the single assessment framework.
  • An understanding of health and safety requirements.
