We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented NRSWA Coordinator to join our Operations Department. This is a key role in ensuring the effective day-to-day coordination of NRSWA activities, supporting our Planning Manager, and working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders. You will play a crucial part in maintaining compliance, improving performance, and driving operational efficiency.
This role is ideal for individuals with experience in NRSWA coordination, planning, or operations within the utilities or construction sectors.
What you'll be doing:
- NRSWA & Operations Coordination: Managing daily NRSWA activities and liaising with colleagues to ensure best practices are shared across regions.
- Planning & Scheduling: Reviewing weekly schedules to confirm that correct permits and resources are in place.
- Performance Reporting: Reporting NRSWA KPIs to the Planning Manager, conducting root cause analysis to improve performance.
- Permit Management: Maintaining a permit register for the effective deployment and management of resources.
- Subcontractor Coordination: Overseeing sub-contract civils contractors conducting off-site works.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Building strong relationships with developers, contractors, highway agencies, and other key stakeholders.
- Compliance & Continuous Improvement: Identifying areas for improvement, ensuring adherence to documented procedures, and fostering a positive health & safety culture.
What we're looking for:
- Experience in NRSWA coordination, planning, or supervision within the utilities or construction sector.
- Knowledge of the New Roads and Street Works Act (NRSWA), planning methodology, logistics, and utilities.
- Strong coordination and planning skills with a track record of successful NRSWA project management.
- Commercial awareness of NRSWA performance, including forecasting and programming.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships.
- Ability to analyse performance data, recognize trends, and implement development plans.
- Experience in mentoring and developing team members.
- Strong audit and report writing skills.
- Certification or awareness of NRSWA and Symology is desirable.
- Experience in promoting a positive health & safety culture.
