The Role
The Senior HSE Advisor will be the lead Health, Safety and Environmental professional on site, responsible for driving compliance, developing a positive behavioural safety culture and supporting operational excellence across a complex manufacturing and installation business.

The Senior HSE Advisor will be the lead Health, Safety and Environmental professional on site, responsible for driving compliance, developing a positive behavioural safety culture and supporting operational excellence across a complex manufacturing and installation business.
The role will lead day-to-day HSE activities.
Responsibilities
- Lead site Health, Safety and Environmental programmes and continuous improvement activities.
- Drive Behavioral Based Safety (BBS) programmes, SHOCs and employee engagement initiatives.
- Develop and maintain risk assessments, COSHH assessments, RAMS and safe systems of work.
- Lead accident, incident, near miss and dangerous occurrence investigations.
- Manage contractor control, RAMS reviews, permit-to-work systems and installation safety requirements.
- Lead occupational health, health surveillance and occupational monitoring programmes.
- Manage chemical safety systems associated with resins, gel coats, solvents and hazardous substances.
- Lead respiratory protection programmes including face fit testing and PAPR deployment where required.
- Coordinate HSE training, toolbox talks, inductions and manual handling initiatives.
- Monitor KPIs, audits, inspections and corrective actions.
- Act as site leads for regulatory visits, insurer audits and customer inspections.
- Support ISO management systems, environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives.
- Support workplace transport, moving vehicles and manufacturing safety improvement programmes.
Qualifications And Skills Required
- Suitable and relevant HSE experience within manufacturing, engineering or a similar operational environment.
- Strong experience in COSHH, chemical management, contractor control and RAMS development.
- Experience managing occupational health, health surveillance and workplace exposure monitoring.
- Experience developing behavioral safety and safety culture programmes.
- NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent (essential).
- NEBOSH Diploma desirable or working towards.
- IOSH Membership.
- Face Fit Tester, Manual Handling Instructor, Internal Auditor or Occupational Hygiene qualifications desirable.
