The Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR professional to join the business on a Fixed Term Contract running until December 2026. Reporting to the HR Business Partner, you’ll play a key role in supporting managers and employees across a broad range of HR matters. From employee relations and organisational change to policy guidance and HR projects, this is a varied and hands-on role where you’ll make a genuine impact across the business. The role offers hybrid working and is currently based in Torquay, although flexibility to travel within the Devon area is essential due to potential office location changes over the coming months.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Acting as the first point of contact for HR queries, providing practical advice and guidance to managers and employees
- Supporting managers with employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, absence management and performance issues
- Assisting with organisational change processes including restructures and redundancies
- Coaching managers on best practice people management and employment law
- Supporting maternity processes and ensuring accurate HR documentation and payroll communication
- Maintaining HR records, case logs and right to work documentation
- Producing ad hoc HR reports and supporting HR system administration
- Supporting investigations relating to absence, AWOL and policy breaches
- Contributing to HR projects including employee engagement, wellbeing and diversity
