This is a varied and hands-on Finance position with responsibility for overseeing the day-to-day financial operations of the business while supporting monthly reporting, forecasting and transactional processes. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders, taking ownership of core ledgers, reconciliations, reporting and compliance across multiple entities. The role suits someone detail-oriented, proactive and confident managing multiple priorities, who enjoys being involved across both transactional and month-end finance in a dynamic business environment.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee processing of invoices, payments and credit notes
- Maintain accurate supplier and customer records and ensure ledger integrity
- Supervise payment runs and ensure adherence to approval processes
- Review and manage bank and balance sheet reconciliations
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies across multiple accounts
- Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts for multiple business entities
- Post and review journals including accruals, prepayments and adjustments
- Prepare schedules, reconciliations and supporting documentation for month-end and year-end
- Support budgeting & forecasting for multiple business entities
- Prepare and review VAT returns and ensure compliance with HMRC requirements for multiple businesses
- Support year-end audit preparation and liaise with external accountants
- Prepare and submit monthly CIS returns
- Experience in an Assistant Management Accountant or Senior Assistant Accountant role
- Experience supporting management accounts, reconciliations and month-end processes
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics
- Experience of Payroll or CIS would be an advantage
