This is a newly created, standalone Finance Director role and the first of its kind in the business. You’ll join the senior leadership team and take full ownership of the finance function, operating hands-on while acting as a trusted partner to founders and investors.
It’s a high-impact, close-to-the-numbers leadership role where you will professionalise finance without over-engineering it, bringing structure, visibility and discipline while preserving the pace and culture that made the business successful.
- Leading end-to-end financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting and cash management.
- Strengthening financial controls, governance frameworks and working capital discipline.
- Providing commercial insight across projects, utilisation, margins and profitability.
- Partnering with founders and senior leaders to inform pricing, hiring, and investment decisions.
- Managing compliance, audit readiness and financial risk.
- Over time, building and leading a high-performing finance function.
You’re comfortable operating in a standalone environment, enjoy building structure from scratch, and bring calm, credible leadership during periods of change.
Qualifications:
- ACA or ACCA qualified
- Strong standalone or first-in FD experience would be advantageous.
- Experience with Xero; Power BI or Alteryx advantageous.
- Strong financial modelling and commercial insight skills.
A genuine pathway toward a broader CFO remit as the business expands.
