I am working with a Tier 1 contractor delivering a major nuclear infrastructure programme in Cumbria and they are looking to appoint an experienced Lead Project Cost Controller to join the commercial team on a long term permanent basis. This is a senior position supporting Project Directors and Commercial Managers on a complex regulated project, offering strong career progression and long term security. Security Clearance is required or candidates must be eligible to obtain clearance.

The Role

  • Take responsibility for project cost forecasting, cost control systems and budget management, ensuring accurate reporting and strong financial governance across the programme.
  • Managing project cost forecasting and cost management systems.
  • Developing control processes for time cost and performance.
  • Planning controlling and forecasting project budgets.
  • Producing KPI reports for the client.
  • Preparing monthly cost value reconciliations.
  • Supporting payment applications and client reporting.
  • Advising project teams on cost coding budgets and requisitions.
  • Driving continuous improvement in cost control processes.
  • Working closely with senior commercial leadership.
