I am working with a Tier 1 contractor delivering a major nuclear infrastructure programme in Cumbria and they are looking to appoint an experienced Lead Project Cost Controller to join the commercial team on a long term permanent basis. This is a senior position supporting Project Directors and Commercial Managers on a complex regulated project, offering strong career progression and long term security. Security Clearance is required or candidates must be eligible to obtain clearance.
The Role
- Take responsibility for project cost forecasting, cost control systems and budget management, ensuring accurate reporting and strong financial governance across the programme.
- Managing project cost forecasting and cost management systems.
- Developing control processes for time cost and performance.
- Planning controlling and forecasting project budgets.
- Producing KPI reports for the client.
- Preparing monthly cost value reconciliations.
- Supporting payment applications and client reporting.
- Advising project teams on cost coding budgets and requisitions.
- Driving continuous improvement in cost control processes.
- Working closely with senior commercial leadership.
