I am currently supporting a Tier 1 contractor on a major UK infrastructure programme in Cumbria and I am looking to speak to Sustainability Advisors to join the team. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in shaping sustainability strategy on complex construction projects while working closely with project teams, designers and the supply chain.

The Role

You will be responsible for supporting site and design teams to deliver sustainability objectives and carbon reduction targets across live projects. The role will involve influencing best practice, driving innovation and ensuring compliance with relevant environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting site teams and the supply chain to meet sustainability and client objectives
  • Developing training materials and communication tools for project teams
  • Driving carbon reduction initiatives and energy management plans
  • Supporting designers and engineers in adopting sustainable materials and methods
  • Producing case studies and sharing best practice across the business
  • Supporting procurement teams to improve sustainability performance
  • Monitoring KPIs and reporting performance to senior management
  • Supporting audits and visiting other sites across the UK where necessary

You Will Ideally Have

  • Strong knowledge of sustainability and environmental management in construction
  • Understanding of carbon reduction planning and Scope 3 emissions
  • IEMA membership or working towards this, or similar professional qualification

Security Clearance

SC Clearance is required or candidates must be eligible to obtain it and have the right to work in the UK.
