We're recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading, family-owned civil engineering and utilities contractor with over 40 years' experience delivering essential infrastructure across water, wastewater, gas, and communications networks. This is a business recognised for its values-driven culture, technical capability, and collaborative approach, working in long-term framework partnerships with major utilities and public bodies. You’ll join a highly regarded commercial team, supporting the delivery of complex infrastructure schemes across the region, with the opportunity to take commercial lead on key packages and mentor junior colleagues.
Key Responsibilities- Full commercial and contractual management of live projects
- Preparation and negotiation of sub-contracts, variations, and final accounts
- Cost forecasting, cashflow management, and reporting
- Support value engineering and change control processes
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with clients, supply chain, and delivery teams
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior QS within civil engineering or utilities (water, gas, or communications preferred)
- Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts
- Excellent commercial awareness, negotiation, and communication skills
- Degree qualified (RICS or equivalent desirable)
