Are you a Quantity Surveyor looking for a long-term opportunity in heavy civils? We are seeking a driven Quantity Surveyor to join a leading civil engineering contractor, working on major infrastructure, utilities, and construction projects across London and the Home Counties.

About the Role: As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for cost management, procurement, and contract administration, ensuring projects are delivered on budget and in line with contractual requirements. You will collaborate with project teams to manage financial performance and mitigate risks, ensuring cost efficiency and commercial success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cost management - Monitor project budgets and forecasts
  • Procurement & subcontractor management - Negotiate and oversee contracts
  • Valuations & variations - Prepare applications for payment and manage change orders
  • Financial reporting - Produce detailed cost analysis and commercial reports
  • Risk & claims management - Identify and mitigate financial risks
  • Client & stakeholder collaboration - Work closely with project managers and commercial teams

What We're Looking For:

  • Degree or relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or Construction
  • Experience in heavy civils (earthworks, utilities, highways, or major infrastructure)
  • Strong knowledge of NEC.
  • Excellent negotiation, financial analysis, and reporting skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
