A major hydroelectric infrastructure project in Inverness, Scotland requires a Site Agent to manage a defined package or section of works on a large and technically complex civil engineering programme. This is a permanent role with a Tier 1 contractor, offering real responsibility on a landmark scheme.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full responsibility for safe delivery of an allocated section or package of works on programme and to budget
- Lead a site team including Section Foremen, Site Engineers and subcontractors
- Prepare and update short‑term programmes and look‑ahead schedules
- Attend and chair progress meetings, reporting to the Construction Manager and Project Manager
- Manage commercial activity within your section, raising early warnings and supporting compensation events
- Coordinate plant, labour and materials resources effectively
- Drive a proactive safety and quality culture within your team
What You Will Need
- Proven experience as a Site Agent or Project Manager on civil engineering or infrastructure projects
- SMSTS qualified
- Black CSCS card
- Strong programme management and leadership skills
- Commercial awareness with NEC contract experience preferred
- Experience on water, energy or hydro infrastructure is advantageous

- Salary: £65,000 - £70,000 per annum
- Car Allowance: £5,750
