I am recruiting for an Environmental Advisor to join a major infrastructure project based in Cumbria. This is a key role supporting the delivery teams to ensure all works are carried out in line with environmental legislation, project standards and client expectations.
Responsibilities
- Supporting the delivery teams with environmental compliance across all work fronts
- Preparing and implementing environmental management plans
- Carrying out site inspections and audits, identifying any risks and ensuring corrective actions are implemented
- Managing environmental reporting and monitoring requirements
- Liaising with project teams, subcontractors and regulators
- Supporting carbon reduction, waste management and sustainability initiatives
- Leading toolbox talks and providing guidance to site teams on best practice
- Ensuring documentation, permits and consents are up to date and in line with requirements
Requirements
- Experience working as an Environmental Advisor on major infrastructure or construction projects
- Good working knowledge of environmental legislation and requirements
- Strong communication skills and the ability to influence at all levels
- Ability to work across multiple work fronts in a fast paced environment
- Ideally holding an environmental or sustainability related qualification
This is a full time, site based position and candidates must be able to work in Cumbria. You must also have the ability to obtain security clearance or already hold it.
