TRIbuild are seeking an experienced Estimator (Heritage) to join our clients growing team, working on high-quality heritage and restoration projects across London. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated estimator with a strong understanding of traditional construction and conservation techniques to play a key role in delivering complex and prestigious restoration works.
The Role
As a Heritage Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates from tender stage through to submission, working closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Read, understand, and analyse tender documentation
- Review scopes of work and allocate costs across relevant trades
- Price in-house trades, including labour, plant, and materials
- Prepare and issue subcontractor and supplier enquiries
- Visit sites to assess scope of works and existing conditions
- Attend meetings with clients, surveyors, architects, and subcontractors
- Review subcontractor returns and scopes of work
- Take off quantities and details from drawings and specifications
- Prepare bespoke Scopes of Work and Bills of Quantities (BoQs)
- Produce tender stage programmes of works
- Assist with quality and tender submissions
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
- Construction-related degree (high grade preferred)
- HNC/HND with relevant industry experience may be considered
- CSCS Card
- Experience within the masonry and conservation sector (desirable)
- Strong knowledge of stonework, brickwork, roofing, carpentry, and general restoration
Essential Skills
- Strong computer literacy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Project
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
Additional Requirements
- Ability to pass security clearance
- Full clean UK driving licence and own vehicle preferred
