A well-established and highly regarded housing developer is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team on residential projects across South London. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Assistant QS looking to develop their career within a respected developer known for delivering high-quality homes.
The Role:
- Working closely with a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will assist in the commercial management of residential developments from pre-construction through to final account.
- Responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with cost planning, budgeting and financial reporting
- Supporting procurement of subcontractors and suppliers
- Preparing and reviewing subcontractor packages
- Valuations, variations and cost control
- Assisting with payments, final accounts and CVRs
- Liaising with site teams and external consultants
About You:
- Degree or HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
- Previous experience in a similar role within residential construction or housebuilding (preferred)
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Good communication and organisational abilities
- Eager to learn and progress within a commercial team
