We’re recruiting on behalf of a leading civil engineering contractor for a Senior Planner to join their team on a major water utilities project in North West London. This is a key permanent role requiring strong planning and project controls expertise, with proven experience delivering UK water infrastructure projects. Site experience is essential, as you will work closely with the delivery team to develop and manage programmes from pre-construction through to handover.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning function across the project lifecycle, from tender stage through to live delivery.
- Develop detailed construction programmes, sequencing, and methodology plans using Primavera P6.
- Monitor progress, update programmes, and identify critical path risks or delays.
- Work collaboratively with site teams, commercial leads, and subcontractors to ensure planning accuracy and control.
- Provide planning input to stakeholder reports, programme updates, and contractual submissions.
Requirements:
- Must have experience on UK water utilities projects (clean or wastewater).
- Site-based planning background within civil engineering (contractor-side essential).
- Proficient in Primavera P6 / Primavera Cloud and MS Project.
- Familiar with NEC contracts and delay/entitlement assessments.
- CSCS card required; Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction preferred.
