We are recruiting for a Quality Manager to join a Tier One infrastructure delivery team on a major long-term project in the North West. This role offers the opportunity to oversee quality assurance across complex construction and infrastructure works, ensuring compliance, driving best practice and supporting delivery teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Role Overview

The Quality Manager will lead on quality planning, inspection, assurance and compliance across multiple workstreams. You will work closely with engineering, construction, commercial and SHEQ teams to ensure all activities meet required standards, specifications and governance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement project-specific quality plans and inspection test plans
  • Lead quality assurance processes across design and delivery stages
  • Carry out inspections, audits and compliance checks in line with project standards
  • Manage NCRs, corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support construction teams with technical queries and specification interpretation
  • Ensure accurate documentation, reporting and records management
  • Engage with client representatives and stakeholders on quality-related matters
  • Contribute to project readiness reviews, handover documentation and assurance milestones

Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience as a Quality Manager or Quality Engineer within major construction or infrastructure
  • Strong understanding of quality systems, standards and inspection processes
  • Experience working on complex or high-security infrastructure projects
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to lead audits, manage NCRs and drive improvement initiatives
  • Relevant engineering, construction or quality-related qualification
  • Ability to satisfy security vetting requirements linked to high-security infrastructure environments
