Supply Chain Manager in Nottingham

We’re looking for an experienced Supply Chain Manager to oversee procurement and subcontractor management across multiple civil engineering work packages. This role is ideal for someone with strong commercial, procurement and supplier‑management experience specifically within civil engineering or major infrastructure.

Role overview

• Lead procurement strategies and supply‑chain planning across multiple civils work packages
• Source, negotiate, and onboard subcontractors and key suppliers
• Manage end‑to‑end procurement processes in line with programme governance and NEC frameworks
• Build strong relationships with subcontractors, ensuring performance, compliance and safe delivery
• Work closely with commercial, engineering, SHEQ and delivery teams
• Support cost management, value engineering, forecasting and early‑warning processes
• Monitor supply‑chain performance, risk, capacity and delivery assurance
• Ensure procurement aligns with sustainability, social value and quality requirements
• Support long‑term supply‑chain development for a major multi‑year infrastructure programme

What we’re looking for

• Strong civil engineering or major infrastructure experience is essential
• Proven background in supply chain management, procurement or subcontractor management
• Experience working within regulated, high‑governance or NEC contract environments
• Strong negotiation, relationship management and commercial skills
• Ability to manage multiple suppliers and work packages simultaneously
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities

This role requires the ability to satisfy security vetting processes linked to high‑security infrastructure environments.
