Tribuild Solutions have an opportunity for an experienced Environment, Health & Safety Manager to join a leading engineering team based in Stevenage. They specialise in building services in highly regulated environments and this is a key role supporting multiple technically complex building services projects, where safety, quality, and compliance are paramount.
The Role:
Working from the Stevenage office and across various project sites, you will lead the delivery of robust EHS systems and ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental legislation. You’ll play a vital role in promoting a positive safety culture while supporting operational teams with practical, hands-on guidance across all stages of project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead EHS compliance activities on-site, ensuring alignment with UK legislation and best practice.
- Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks, safety briefings, and training sessions.
- Carry out risk assessments, inspections, and audits, with follow-up on actions and improvements.
- Provide guidance on safe systems of work and method statements during planning and execution phases.
- Investigate incidents thoroughly and identify root causes and preventive actions.
- Liaise directly with clients and external stakeholders on all EHS-related matters.
- Champion a proactive health, safety, and environmental culture across project teams.
Requirements:
- NEBOSH General Certificate (minimum requirement).
- Proven EHS management experience, ideally within pharmaceutical, FMCG, or similarly regulated environments.
- In-depth knowledge of EHS legislation and high-compliance safety practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- A practical, hands-on approach to managing health and safety in live project environments.
Desirable:
- Membership of IOSH and/or IEMA.
- Previous experience within mechanical, electrical, or building services contracting.
- Familiarity with working in controlled environments, including shutdowns and highly regulated sites.
