I’m supporting a leading international infrastructure contractor delivering a major, long-term civils programme in the North West. This project involves complex civil engineering, heavy infrastructure works, multi-disciplinary packages, and close collaboration with a wider delivery partnership.

We’re looking for an experienced Commercial Manager to join the project team, overseeing all commercial and contractual aspects across multiple work packages. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in major-project environments and wants long-term stability, progression, and exposure to some of the most complex engineering works in the UK.

Role overview:

• Lead the commercial function across multiple civils work packages
• NEC contract management
• Cost control, forecasting, and budget management
• Subcontract procurement, negotiation, and management
• Manage change, compensation events, and variations
• Support monthly reporting, CVRs, and risk reviews
• Work closely with project directors, planners, engineering, and finance
• Ensure full compliance with governance procedures and client requirements

What we’re looking for:

• Proven experience as a Commercial Manager on major civils, infrastructure, utilities or heavy engineering projects
• Strong NEC contract experience (essential)
• Ability to manage commercial teams and interface with senior stakeholders
• Experience working within large, complex delivery partnerships or JV environments is highly desirable
• Strong cost, value, and risk management background
• Excellent communication and leadership skills

This role requires the ability to satisfy security vetting processes linked to high-security infrastructure environments.
