I am looking for a Senior Project Manager with solid substation and transmission experience to support the close out of a key grid project in Cornwall. The scheme has around 12 months remaining so the successful candidate must be confident taking ownership of the final stages through to handover.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading the close out of all project stages through to handover
- Oversight of design integration, construction and commissioning activities
- Programme management including monitoring progress and driving delivery
- Managing remaining change risk and early warnings
- Coordinating engineering construction and commissioning teams
- Ensuring all works meet required technical and safety standards
- Client reporting on progress, cost and risk
Candidate location and travel:
- You can be based anywhere in the UK
- You must be able to commit to one week on site and one week working from home rotation
- The client will cover travel to and from site for your onsite weeks
Background:
- Proven substation and transmission experience
- Strong background in design and build delivery and leading multi-discipline teams
- Experience managing close out commissioning or final delivery phases
- Excellent understanding of substation safety, CDM and high voltage environments
- Strong commercial awareness and client facing skills
- Previous National Grid Sub-Station experience is essential
What is on offer:
