TRIbuild Solutions is seeking an experienced Section Engineer to join our client's team on site in West Ruislip, working 5 days per week.
Main Responsibilities:
- Undertake duties as directed by the Agent and Sub-Agent
- Day-to-day work site coordination and planning to ensure works are carried out safely and efficiently
- Work with subcontractors to ensure timely preparation and review of RAMS, ITP's, Permits and Consents, and that these are implemented on site
- Ensure Permit to Dig, Temporary Works and other safety systems are implemented, liaising with the Site Foreman to maintain safe methods of work
- Ensure temporary works needs are identified early and completed in accordance with relevant procedures
- Ensure all quality checks are carried out in line with ITP's and properly recorded
- Manage non-conformance reporting and oversee non-conformances on site through to completion
- Carry out setting out, land surveying, and manage diaries and programmes
- Oversee earthworks and deep drainage works
- Pipe Jacking experience is essential - please do not apply unless this is clearly demonstrated on your CV
Health, Safety & Environment:
- Ensure health and safety is given the highest priority throughout the works
- Demonstrate commitment to the Health & Safety and Environmental Policies
- Ensure policies and procedures are effectively communicated to the workforce and implemented
- Work collaboratively with the HS2 team, contractors, and subcontractors to achieve overall project goals
The Ideal Candidate:
- Degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or a related discipline, or HNC in Civil Engineering with vocational training
- Sound understanding of engineering principles and construction techniques/best practices
- Competent in MS Word, Excel, and document control systems
- Relevant CSCS Card; SMSTS and HS2 experience desirable
- Training in Health & Safety and Environmental management
- Presentation skills, with the ability to deliver inductions and briefings
